Рекомендуют 390-е, до этого были 384. Они как-то в рекомендациях пропустили 387.
У меня и манджарик сегодня обновил с 384 сразу на 390Но тут я не подскажу, там сейчас PPA изменился

Не помогло, к черту эти инструкции, поставлю обратно Прайм. Слишком много всяких нюансов, если что пойдет не так тут надо уровень не ниже среднего. Автоматика лучше настраивает, поставил недавно бамблби в Росе, и там даже это в 1 клик..
Какой брать тогда, они в основном сейчас с оптимус.
В меня закрались некие сомнения.
Бамблби в какой-то мере конечно аналог виндового (опустим даже автоматику), но все равно с ним не сравнится. Игрушки тянет конечно лучше интел, но как-то все равно быстро он нагревает ноут (в сравнении с виндой и даже более тяжелыми играми). К тому же бывают иногда какие-то причуды-зависы, вот и "счастливчик" подтверждает..
По моим ощущениям что с прайм, что с бамблби разницы в нагреве я особо и не ощутил. Посему хочу провести тест на двух дистрах (в минте прайм, в манджаро бамблби), одну и ту жу игру (например supertuxkart, просто и там и там уже стоит) погонять и всё как-то зафиксировать (темп-ру и т.д.) и сравнить. Может где-то гайд есть такой. Если особой разницы не будет, тогда и нафиг мне на минте бамблби.

Ха, статья устарела, только что попытался установить.
Но он не ставит 367-й, а по определению фигачит 387-ь, все встает ровно, но после перезагрузки.
ЧЁРНЫЙ, ЧЁРНЫЙ экран. Хорошо хоть в консоль пустил. Я то все удалил без проблем. Но новичкам не советую эксперементировать
. Ну только тем кто с бубном дружит, танцы любит
и костры уважает.

Разный уровень шума не заметил разве? На прайме 390 у меня активнее работают вентиляторы чем на Бамблби 390... Думается тут и кроется что так "нестабильно" ведёт себя, термоконфиги надо ещё править как мне кажется.

На свою GT555M накидывал 384-е максимум дрова (сейчас на них и работает)

Как то слишком интуитивно всё это. Тесты, замеры какие-нить на основе одной игры. Не знаю что на линуксе обычно используют для этого. Я не игроман, просто иногда просят линукс поставить, и чтоб в игрушки можно было играть.

Оказывается пакет nvidia-prime разработан Каноникал для Убунту, и позиционируют его в предпочтение бамблби.

Не в ядре тут дело, что-то в настройках. Я пробовал сначала на 4.13, потом с твоей же подачи
откатил на ядро 4.4, ибо только на нем минт грузится у меня со свободным драйвером

на 4.15 у тебя ж прёт усё... на работе у меня с нвидиа до 4.13.0-26 не грузился ни в какую, а потом оп и приняла железка ядрышко и дрова вместе

на буке проблем не было на всех со стока и по 4.13.0-32 на котором пробовал

Ну да, заработал

Какой тогда вывод? Всё сводится к банальному перебору версий ядра и видеодрайвера до тех пор пока не случится благоприятное сочетание (отследить это невозможно, а перебирать можно очень долго ибо вариантов много).
Или тупо ставить всё самое новое? Исходя из того что ppa:bumblebee/testing (есть же ещё и стабильная ветка) дрова ставил последние 390-е на самое новое ядро 4.15.9
До сих пор не понимаю, как для ноута 3,5-летней давности то что не работало на ядрах 4.4-4.13 вдруг начинает работать на ядре 4.15?

Ну тут надо чейнджлоги смотреть что они там крутили что связка ядро+nvidia работает не всегда корректно

Ядра клепают каждую неделю..
Стоит ли обновлять ядро или забить на это? Ибо на 4.15.9 бамблби корректно работает..-

Если не экспериментируешь - этот вопрос лучше задавать разрабам бамблби, им видней какие коммиты в подсистемах ядра могут иметь воздействие.
Как и проблемные выхлопы своего продукта они куда проворней вычитают зная шмелиный код

Честно говоря поднадоели уже эксперименты, хочется спокойствия пока. Насколько помню, минт 19 будет на 4.15, так что не должно быть проблем с бамблби у меня, там и проверим..
